Ramona
Ramona – Belly Dance Artist and Educator
Ramona began her belly dance journey in London during the vibrant dance scene of the 1990s, training with the renowned Josephine Wise Academy of Arabic Dance (JWAAD). She furthered her studies with Julia Brunswick of the Raqs Sharqi Society, and credits both of these influential UK-based movements for igniting her lifelong passion for Arabic dance.
Over the years, Ramona has not only embraced the joy of performance but has also become a dedicated teacher, sharing her love for this rich and expressive art form. She has led successful classes and workshops for many years, cultivating an environment that inspires, encourages, and delights students of all levels.
Ramona's dance style is emotive and graceful, reflecting a deep appreciation for the diverse genres within Arabic dance. Whether performing or teaching, she brings authenticity, joy, and artistic sensitivity to every step.
Shimmilicious
Shimmilicous are a dynamic, colourful fun bellydance troupe who have performed many times at festivals, community events and parties etc. They are experienced dancers who offer a wide variety of styles, their dances include veils, isis wings, silk fans and assaya (sticks).
